Sergio Gruz & Malabika Brahma DuoTwo Traditions . One recognition.
.jpg)
A rare artistic encounter, born of mutual recognition rather than coincidence. Internationally acclaimed roots vocalist Malabika Brahma has joined forces with celebrated Parisian jazz pianist Sergio Gruz—a meeting of two traditions, two continents, one shared language.
"Musicians do not choose each other, they recognizse each other."
This was how critics described Gruz's boundary-pushing projects—and it captures, perfectly, the instinctive chemistry at the heart of this new duo. This is far more than a cross-genre experiment. It is a fluid, incandescent dialogue: Brahma's raw, arresting vocal timbre—carrying the earthy, uncompromising weight of Eastern folk tradition—interweaves with Gruz's intricate piano voicings and sophisticated rhythmic undercurrents.
The result is music that defies borders as naturally as it defies categories.
