Baul Meets Jazz
BAUL MEETS JAZZ SHOULD BE THE TEXTS ON THE IMAGE ITS A BAND WITH IS EAST AND WEST MIX Don

"Baul Meets Jazz" is an innovative international collective of world jazz that bridges the ancestral, spiritual, and nomadic traditions of the East with the freedom of improvisation found in contemporary Western jazz. Drawing from the Baul tradition of Bengal, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the project pays homage to a centuries-old philosophy through music, poetry, and human connection. The ensemble serves as a fluid and evolving platform for deep intercultural dialogue through multiple interconnected partnerships. The strength of the project lies in the artistic synthesis of the Baul philosophy of Bengal with modern avant-garde jazz structures, Anatolian mysticism, and classical Indian percussion, creating an intense and hypnotic global groove where acoustic heritage meets contemporary energy.
